PRAIRIE WATER RAMP
General
Information
The Grande
Prairie Water Ramp is a multi purpose training facility for skiers
and snowboarders. The water ramp program gives athletes the opportunity
to learn and qualify inverts and uprights on water and trampolines
SAFELY. The water ramp opened in June October 2003.
Freestyle skiing
athletes must be a member of the Alberta and Canadian Freestyle
Ski Association and snowboard athletes must be a member of the Alberta
Snowboard Association.
The ramp was
a joint venture with Nitehawk Ski Area and funded by the: City of
Grande Prairie, County of Grande Prairie No. 1, MD Greenview, and
the Province of Alberta with major sponsorships from local businesses
and volunteers. We are very grateful for the commitment of all of
the partners involved with this project.

New Onsite
Campground
There is a campsite at Nitehawk so you can camp and ramp. The site
features 50 stalls, most with power and water. There is also an
on site concession and access to the beautiful wapiti river valley.
Nitehawk also offers a gravity bike park and lift-assisted mountain
biking, adding variety to your training program. For campground
