Jasper Freeride Ski Club
Jasper Freeride
was started in 1996 as the North Rockies Freestyle Ski Club and
provides athletes with a strong Freeride and Freestyle oriented
training program and enhanced skill development. Our goal is to
provide competent and positive coaching in the pristine Alpine environment
of Marmot Basin producing positive, well motivated athletes with
advanced skill development in all aspects of Freestyle and Freeride.
We provide an
environment in which athletes have tons of fun while developing
advanced ski skills. We encourage skiers to set and meet individual
and team goals, creating confidence and skill one step at a time.
Many of our athletes are very focussed on skill development and
competition while other teammates are involved for purely recreational
reasons.
As a team we
promote the competition experience in mogul, aerial, half-pipe,
slopestyle, and skiercross events. We are dedicated to attending
Club Contests, Alberta Winter Games, Provincial Championships, Junior
Nationals, Senior Nationals, Canada Winter Games and Canadian Series
events. We encourage each of our skiers to experience competition
as they develop their skills. These competitions range from fun
and friendly, to very challenging and competitive (and fun!) Taking
part in competition builds skills, confidence and experience for
athletes to advance to higher levels as skiers and competitors.
Jasper
Freeride Skiers really RIP IT UP!!
